I need some advice please :)

Weekly Workouts
Monday- Walk outside (35 mins)
Tuesday- Elliptical (33 mins)
Wednesday- Yoga (60 mins)

After tonight I have 215 push-ups left, to complete my 1000 push ups for the month.   I got this!
Monthly Weigh in
It's not pretty I currently weight 244 which is +6.8 for the month.   I know this weight gain is caused from the scare I had with my panic attacks.   It's an awful place to be when you feel scared all the time.  I am not going to let this derail me from what my goals are.  I am slowly feeling better and I am back at work.  Since I had the scare at work going back was  like climbing mount Everest.    It took everything in me not to run the other way.   It is hard to explain panic disorder but when you have an panic attack as irrational as it sounds you don't want to go back to the spot you had it because you think you will have it again.   Oh the joy!   But I did it and I am proud of myself for not giving into the fear.  
Do you ever feel like you try and try to live a healthy lifestyle but the scale will not move?  If it does move , does it feel like you are losing the same ten,  twenty pounds?  Do you ever feel like you have tried all the different programs: Weight Watchers, South Beach, Atkins, My Fitness Pal,  etc and you are not seeing any big results??    
Well I have been feeling like for the last year and I just don't know what to do???  I have successful kept off 30 pounds for over three years but I still have 70 pounds to lose.     I love being active and going to the gym and that is something I have been successful at but I do not know what to do anymore about my diet????  
Does anyone have any suggestion on what I should do???    I was thinking of maybe going to counselling to deal with some personal issues.   Or talking to my friend who is a dietitian but other then that I really do not know what to do anymore. 
If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them. 


  1. hey, are you on sparkpeople? I think its an amazing site and you can find so much support.
    I have lost the same 'two' pounds on/off and I really do feel that I'm not getting there--but I do try to be positive (minus the bad days)

    It is always a good idea to tweak your diet.

    1. Yes I have been to sparkpeople and it is a great website! But for some reason it didn't stick maybe I should give it another try???

  2. I'm very, very proud of you! Joy....check out my e-mail. Could it be as simple as our family has sensitivities to certain foods healthy ones as well as unhealthy ones . I played with the "The Plan" and you know how difficult it is for me to lose weight, well, I lost 5lbs this week ...The author has a Web site but it takes time and patient to apply her suggestions, so if you're ,interested I've download some of the articles.... certain foods seem to cause me inflammation does anyone else reading Joy's blog have the same issue? In today's fast pace world we all need to be doing something daily to calm our minds , yoga, a walk by the river,maybe hug a tree ,just feel the energy of the earth. I feel this will help you all with weight lost. For me it's been decovering restorative yoga in my sixties I hope you'll discover what activity you can do to keep your mind calm , maybe unplug from technology for 24 hours . . Love Mom Q
